Our Philosophy.

StudioSound represents a unique approach to the world of high end audio. Our singular quest is to provide the very finest in home audio reproduction for our customers, along with exceptional, personal, service. We have carefully selected a limited number of product lines, all of which meet our exacting standards for sonic purity, reliability, build quality, and value. Most of the companies whose products we have available for audition are small businesses, analogous to cottage industries. They manufacture in low volume, resulting in unsurpassed quality and attention to detail. Many of their products are hand crafted. StudioSound takes great pride in representing these companies and helping to bring their fine products into the homes of music lovers. StudioSound is not a high volume retail operation. We provide unparalleled service and spend an enormous amount of time with each customer. We treat our customers with dignity, respect, and courtesy. Most importantly, we listen. We have a specific style of service which we feel is important in order to enable our customers to properly evalute equipment in our store. You mind find our way of doing things a little bit different, but rest assured that the extra effort we go to is in your best interest. There will never be another customer sharing the listening space with you. You will not be sampling equipment with somebody else's music, or squeezing in five minutes of listening time in between customers. We grant you as long an audition as you need in order to determine which components are the best match for you. We do not believe in forcing you to listen to our own "demonstration" selections: bring music you are familiar with, and which you feel will help you evaluate and compare equipment effectively. There is never more than one pair of speakers in a listening room at a given time. As a result there are no unwanted driver interactions between speakers. You only want to hear one pair of speakers at a time don't you? Why should you listen to all of the other speakers in the room, unless you plan to purchase those as well? Indeed the process of lugging speakers in and out of each room one pair at a time may come across as tedious but we believe in a scientific and methodical approach to auditioning. For this reason there are no switchboards, or any such devices in any of our listening rooms. While many customers are able to determine which components they wish to purchase by way of an in-store audition, it is not always possible to do so. In those cases we provide the opportunity for a home audition. Many dealers hesitate to provide this service but in some cases we see no alternative. By evaluating equipment in your own listening room, in your existing hi-fi system, you are providing yourself with the most accurate and useful audition humanly possible. While we make every effort at our store to match your own system by using the same or similar components during your in-store audition, it is never possible to fully reproduce the listening environment you possess at home. Your room, equipment, cable runs, and virtually every other variable differ from those in our store in both quantitative and qualitative terms. We wish to ensure that you make the right purchasing decision in your quest to attain the optimal audio reproduction in your home. We will do all that we can to assist you in the process of choosing the best components according to your personal listening taste and listening environment. Naturally it is our hope that in doing so you will become one of our many satisfied customers.
